Quite a shame when former co-workers get petty and shitty, and it’s just a bunch of wasted money paying lawyers to write letters to each other. Never had to deal with this crap before, and if I wanted to unleash fury at them, I could, but it’s just not worth it. I’ll save the bangs.
I just want to help design an amazing world for all of us to live on. That shouldn’t be so difficult.
Also, Robotech is still the shit.

Back when I was in design school, I got laughed out of classes for talking about biomimicry and generative design.
I know.

That’s a lot of parasitic drag.
I also never understood why they mounted weapons and stores on the swing wing part of the wings of the Valkyrie and it’s always bugged me to no end.

I guess when you know you’ll need some missiles, it’s good to know you’ve got em.
(I know, it’s not logical)

Robotech? You mean Macross. The real franchise.

Aright, stickler . I’m just a dude who grew up with the Americanized version, before he knew the whole story.

Don’t blame ya, but Harmony Gold, the company that owns robotech, is a bunch of cunts. We haven’t had a single normal Macross release in the states and no localized video games. There’s a few in Japan that look spectacular.

Never had a work threaten me with a lawsuit after I left, but I did have co workers call and email long after I left and I final ly had to cut them off. Sometimes people don’t like having to take responsibility for actions and decisions.

I was always more of a Battletech / Mechwarrior fan!
But Macross is pretty awesome!

Ignoring the actual content of the post, but there's a turbo NSX running around with that livery and it is gorgeous.

I loved Battletech, too. Painted a shitton of those models as a kid. If it’s giant-robot related, I’ve probably been into it.

I
never got into the miniatures as the tabletop was never very popular around here, sadly,
but my brother and I often play Megamek (an unofficial but VERY well done online version of the tabletop).
What got us into the series were the Mechwarrior computer games (Mechwarrior 2, and the MW2 Ghost Bear’s Legacy expansion...then later Mechwarrior 3, Mechwarrior 4 and it’s expansions, and currently Mechwarrior Online) and the Battletech/Mechwarrior novel series! :)

Yeah, Mechwarrior was kinda past my computer-gaming time, so I never really knew much about it. The tabletop game was pretty fun, though the amount of time and money spent on the miniatures was way out of scale with the amount that I actually ever got to play.

Sounds like a friend of mine....he is obsessed with Warhammer miniatures, but almost nobody plays the tabletop around here...

Porkins dragged Biggs down to his death. If Porkins didn't exceed the rated weight of his X-Wing, he could've been there with Wedge and Biggs to help even the odds against Vader and his flunkies.

Get into it with Battletech. I played through most of the MechWarrior and MechCommander games and Battletech pushes the nostalgia button nonstop

It’s total bullshit. They’re coming at me guns blazing, because potential clients that I introduced to the firm signed with me after I left the firm.
My lawyer laughed and said “this is bullshit,” before I’d even told him that the clients had never signed with my old firm. I wouldn’t poach clients that had contracts, and work being performed, but in this case, all there ever was was a proposal that the client never signed, and they called me up when they heard I was no longer with the old firm. The old firm got wind of it, and got pissed.
My lawyer is kind of a MAC II, to continue the Robotech theme.
He told me not to lose any more sleep over this. I shall heed his advice.
